Today, I had the privilege of installing Fr Alphonsus Nahak SVD (Society of the Divine Word), as Parish Priest of Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Santa Teresa, NT.
We give thanks to Fr Alphonsus for his generous response to God’s call and for accepting this ministry of service to the people of Santa Teresa. We keep him in our prayers as he begins this new chapter of pastoral leadership, asking the Lord to bless and strengthen him in his ministry.
During the same celebration, we also rejoiced as our young people received the Sacrament of Confirmation. It was a beautiful and faith-filled celebration, with families and the parish community gathering to support these young people as they were strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Congratulations to all those who were confirmed, and thank you to their families, catechists and the parish community who have accompanied them on their journey of faith.
Thanks be to God.
