The visit of the relic of St Carlo Acutis to our Diocese has truly been a time of grace.
Across our parishes, many people came to pray, to spend time before the relic, and to seek the intercession of this remarkable young saint. It has been encouraging to see people of all ages, especially our young people, inspired by Carlo’s deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist.
Although he was only 15 years old when he died, St Carlo lived with extraordinary faith and wisdom. His devotion to the Eucharist and his work in documenting Eucharistic miracles continue to inspire people throughout the world.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who made this visit possible. It was the result of the generous efforts of many people, both within our Diocese and beyond, whose hard work allowed so many to experience this special opportunity.
May St Carlo Acutis continue to intercede for our Diocese. May he inspire our young people to grow in holiness, deepen their love for the Eucharist, and lead all of us ever closer to Christ.
