As part of our Jubilee Year of Hope reflections, Fr Chediel Mloka shares a moving insight into what this sacred journey means to him.
“For me, it all begins with the image of an anchor,” he says. “Our hope is in God, and our faith must be anchored in Him.”
Fr Chediel reminds us that the Pilgrimage of Hope is not simply about moving forward—it’s about placing complete trust in God, allowing Him to be the source of our strength and direction. In his mission as a priest, Fr Chediel draws on this hope as a foundation, declaring, “I take God as my everything—the anchor of my faith, my hope, and my mission.”
He invites all of us to reflect on our own journey:
“That anchor should be God. He should be the source of everything. And in our mission, whatever we do, may it be grounded in the hope that comes from Him.”
As we continue through this Jubilee Year, may Fr Chediel’s words encourage us to remain steadfast in faith, rooted in trust, and bold in our mission to bring God’s hope to the world.
