Today Bishop Charles will welcome the Catholic Bishop for Ukrainians (in Australia, New Zealand and Oceania) to Darwin.
Bishop Mykola Bychok (Eparch for Ukrainian Catholic Church) will be celebrating the Eastern Rite Ukrainian Liturgy tomorrow (Saturday the 09th of April) at 4 pm at St Mary’s Star of the Sea Cathedral.
Bishop Mykola Bychok will also be concelebrating with our Bishops on Sunday (Palm Sunday) the 10th of April during the 09:30 Mass where he will preach.
On the same day (Palm Sunday morning) he will be taking part in the Ecumenical service at 08:30 am at the Raintree Park (situated on the Knuckey Street end of the Smith Street Mall).
This Ecumenical service is run by the Uniting, Anglican, and Catholic Churches. At the end of the prayer service, we walk back to the Cathedral together with the Uniting Church in time for the 09:30 Mass.
