We give thanks to God for the congregation of the Society of the Divine Word as they celebrate 150 years since their foundation. We are especially grateful for the many SVD missionaries who have ministered faithfully in our Diocese over the years.
At present, we are blessed with SVD missionaries serving in Central Australia and the Tiwi Islands. Their dedication and contribution to the life of our Church have been a true gift to our communities.
We pray that God will continue to bless the Society of the Divine Word, grant them vocations, and sustain their missionary spirit. We look forward to our ongoing partnership in ministry within the Diocese of Darwin.
God bless,
