Confirmed in the Spirit — Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Palmerston
Last night, the young people of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish – Palmerston NT received the Sacrament of Confirmation — a profound outpouring of the Holy Spirit, strengthening them to live as mature disciples of Christ.
Through the laying on of hands and the anointing with Sacred Chrism, they were sealed with the gift of the Spirit, called to be bold witnesses of the Gospel in their daily lives. May their hearts remain always open to God’s grace, and may their lives bear much fruit in service of the Kingdom.
We give thanks to God for these young people and their families, who have walked with them on this journey of faith. We are deeply grateful to Fr Michael Court SDB, Fr Gersio Amaral SDB, Fr Abilio Guterres SDB, the Sisters, sponsors, parishioners, and the entire Palmerston community, whose prayers, preparation, and support made this celebration so beautiful and meaningful.
“Be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Let us continue to pray for these young people as they step forward, renewed and strengthened, to live out their mission as Christ’s witnesses in the world.
