Today is Trinity Sunday.
Christianity together with Judaism and Islam believes in one God.
Christianity differs from the other two Monotheistic religions in the belief in the Holy Trinity.

All Christian churches believe that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Three divine persons who are one God.
This belief is based on the revelation of Jesus Christ.
The Father and the Son are United in an infinite bond of Love. The Love between them is The Holy Spirit.
The Son becomes Jesus, truly God and truly Human.

These are amazing mysteries and all human language and imagery is very inadequate to properly describe and explain them.

In God’s inner life we have a community of persons equal in majesty, coeternal, consubstantial persons, distinct, yet one Substance, essence, or nature.

That is quite a mouthful!!
It is an attempt to describe something of the mystery.

We are created in the image of God. Even though we are an individual we are not meant to be ‘lone rangers’.
It is when we truly love that we know ourselves, that we know God.
As Christians, we are baptised in The Name of The Father, and of The Son, and of The Holy Spirit. We are adopted into this amazing communion of Love, into the life of The Holy Trinity.
We are also baptised into the Mystical Body of Christ which is the Church.

As Christians, we are committed to community and the unity of all things!
