About freedom

Do not be too settled in your own opinion, but cheerfully be willing to listen to the ideas of others.

If your idea is good, but give it up for God, and follow another, you may gain more for that.

This is not about cowardice or suppression but about freedom of choice for the greater good.

An old saying goes:
‘It is often safer to hear and accept advice than to give it’

(the old ego is very clever)…

It may also come about that each one’s thought may be good, but to refuse to agree with others when reason or the case itself demands it, is a sign of pride and obstinacy…

(Inspired from the Imitation of Christ, by Thomas A Kempis.)
