Christmas makes it all possible

One evening this week I Baptised an adult lady and then confirmed her and her daughter. They both made their first Holy Communion.
The proud father and husband was present giving love and support.
The young lady’s boyfriend was also present.

It was a sacred and powerful moment celebrating the Sacraments of initiation into our Christian Catholic family.

The fact that this is the week before Christmas added another dimension!

Within half an hr I was celebrating the Simbang Gabi Mass with about 200 people in the Cathedral.

I shared with the community what had just happened a short time before Mass.
I reminded us all as to what our Baptism, as well as our Confirmation, means to us

We are empowered to live the Christian Faith and to share it with others.

As Disciples, we have both the privilege and the responsibility of sharing in the life and mission of Jesus.

‘Go to the ends of the earth and proclaim the Good News to all of creation. Baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.‘

The world needs living witnesses and reminders of the Christian way of life.

The Eucharist is Christ empowering us and strengthening us to fulfil this Mission.

It seals our initial into our community.
A community of mutual care and love whet all matter absolutely!

Christmas makes all this possible. God becoming flesh makes it all possible!

Indeed, Good News that the Word of God became flesh.
