Tony from the Tiwi Islands sent in a heartfelt question:
“Does God understand Tiwi language?”
And Bishop Charles’ answer is simple and powerful:
Of course He does!
God understands every language — Tiwi, English, Warlpiri, Greek, Filipino, and even the quiet voice of our thoughts. God made all things and all people, and His love is not limited by words or dialects.
Bishop Charles reminds us:
“God even knows our thoughts without us saying a word… The language of the heart speaks all languages.”
It’s a beautiful truth — God is always listening, always present, and always understanding. You can speak to Him in your own language, with your own words, or even with silence. He hears. He understands. He loves.
