Giovani Maduro Accepted as a Candidate for the Permanent Diaconate
On 19 September, we joyfully celebrated the admission of Giovani Maduro to candidacy for Holy Orders by Bishop Charles, as he continues his journey towards ordination to the Permanent Diaconate.
It was heartening to see so many parishioners and friends gather for this significant occasion. The Rite of Candidacy marks Giovani’s commitment to further prayer, discernment and preparation for ordained ministry, as he listens more deeply to God’s call to serve the Church and God’s people.
We give thanks to God for Giovani’s faith, generosity and willingness to offer his gifts in service. We pray also for his wife, Shirley, and their family as they continue to walk alongside him at this special time.
May God bless Giovani and his family, and bring to fulfilment the gift of vocation He has begun in him. Let us keep Giovani and his future ministry in our prayers.
