Yesterday, we gave thanks for Fr Gersio Amaral SDB on the occasion of his 44th Birthday.
Fr Gersio is a newly arrived member of the Salesian community in our Diocese, now serving in Palmerston. We are truly grateful for his presence among us and warmly welcome him into our diocesan family.
With a licentiate in education and a strong passion for the Salesian mission, Fr Gersio brings a heartfelt commitment to working with young people, our Aboriginal brothers and sisters, and the wider community — especially our Timorese families. His enthusiasm for ministry and his desire to walk alongside God’s people are a gift to us all.
We thank God for Fr Gersio’s generous heart, his joyful spirit, and the energy he brings to his priestly service.
May God continue to bless you abundantly in the year ahead, Fr Gersio, as you serve with faith, hope, and love.
