On Friday evening (28 August, 2026), we gathered as a community to give thanks to God for Sr Yohana Evenda, of the Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, who recently made her perpetual profession of vows in Flores, Indonesia.
It was a joyful opportunity to celebrate with Sr Yohana and give thanks for her generous and lifelong “yes” to Jesus through the vows of poverty, chastity and obedience.
Sr Yohana has been a wonderful presence within our Diocese, sharing her faith and serving our community with joy and generosity.
Thank you, Sister, for saying yes to Jesus and for responding faithfully to His call. We pray that God will continue to guide and strengthen you in your vocation and ministry.
May your life and witness encourage others, especially our young people, to listen generously to God’s call in their own lives.
God bless you, Sr Yohana.
