Today Father Leo Wearden MSC (Missionaries of the Sacred Heart), is celebrating his birthday. A very special birthday, he turned 70.
We thank God for Fr Leo and his loving ministry over so many years within our diocese. He has worked tirelessly within the parishes of the Tiwi Islands and in Wadeye.
Previous to that, he has done missionary work in New Guinea. And we give thanks for his faithful service in missionary territory over so many years.
Thank you, Father Leo, for your great commitment to God and God’s people. We thank God for you and we pray for you today.
God bless you.
