We celebrate today the 27th anniversary of the Episcopal Ordination of our dear Bishop Eugene Hurley, Emeritus Bishop of Darwin.
Bishop Eugene is loved by so many for very good reasons, for his great pastoral heart, his deep love for God’s people, and his genuine care for all. He has been an exemplary shepherd to our diocese, guiding with wisdom, compassion, and faithfulness.
We value his continued presence among us as Emeritus Bishop, and we are grateful that he remains actively engaged in ministry across the nation through the Episcopal Conference.
We thank God for Bishop Eugene and pray that the Lord will continue to grant him strength and grace to be a living witness to God and God’s people within our diocese and beyond.
