Over sixty years ago, a young man left his home country for a new land.
Today, we thank God for Bishop Charles Gauci as he celebrates his 73rd birthday.
For many years, Bishop Charles made an immense contribution to the community as a priest in South Australia. Around eight years ago, Fr Charles Gauci was asked to leave his community in South Australia and accept the role of Bishop of the Diocese of Darwin!!!
Since then, he has given of himself tirelessly – visiting and serving the people of our immense and beautiful diocese.
We pray for Bishop Charles today and wish him every blessing on this special day.
