We celebrate today the 60th birthday of Fr. Cyrus Banque CMF (Claretian Missionaries – Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary). Fr. Cyrus has been with us in the diocese for the past two years and has previously served as Parish Priest of Saint Joseph Parish Church, Katherine, NT. He is now the Parish Priest of Holy Family Catholic Church, Karama.
Fr. Cyrus brings with him many years of rich missionary experience, having served faithfully in Timor-Leste, particularly during times of great difficulty, as well as many years of ministry in Indonesia. He is also the local superior of the Claretian community in our diocese.
We thank God for Fr. Cyrus, for his committed love of God and God’s people, and for the generosity and wisdom he brings to his ministry among us.
God Bless
