We celebrate today the birthday of Fr. Leo Wearden MSC (Missionaries of the Sacred Heart).
We thank God for Fr. Leo and for his many years of faithful and generous ministry. A seasoned missionary, Fr. Leo has served God’s people in Papua New Guinea, the Tiwi Islands, and for many years at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Wadeye, NT. Throughout his priestly life, he has ministered in isolated and challenging communities with remarkable dedication and love.
We thank God for Fr. Leo, for his wisdom, his pastoral care, and his deep love for God and God’s people. His faithful witness and missionary spirit continue to be a great blessing to our diocesan family.
God Bless
