My dear friends, sisters and brothers,
I warmly invite you to take part in the upcoming Ignite Conference, which will be held from 19 to 21 June at MacKillop Catholic College here in our Diocese.
This is a gathering for people of all ages. Families, children, young people and all who come are welcome. It is a time to come together in faith, and I am confident that those who attend will experience a deeper renewal, a greater joy, and a renewed energy in their relationship with God.
Ignite has been a powerful experience for many who have attended in other places, and we are blessed to now host it within our own Diocese. The conference will include a variety of speakers, including Fr Rob Galea, along with worship, music, and opportunities to encounter the presence of God in a meaningful way.
I encourage you to spread the word and to consider attending. It is not simply an event, but an opportunity to pray, to reflect, and to grow together as a community of faith.
The registration includes meals for the duration of the conference, allowing everyone to participate fully in the experience.
As you come, come with open hearts. Come ready to pray, to listen, and to share in the beauty of our faith in a way that truly ignites our spirit.
I look forward to seeing many of you there.
God bless you all.
+Charles
Ignite 2026 – Ascend: Lift Your Heart. Ignite Your Spirit.
My dear friends, brothers and sisters,
We have a very exciting event, Ignite Conference 2026 happening in June (June 19 to 21) here in our Diocese. To ignite means to set on fire. This conference is about setting our hearts on fire with faith and encouraging one another to live that faith with joy and conviction.
For the first time ever, Ignite will be held here in our Diocese at MacKillop Catholic College, Palmerston, NT. An event that normally takes place interstate is now coming to us. This is a wonderful opportunity for our local Church and communities.
Ignite is for everyone. It is for young people, families, adults, and older members of our community. There will be dedicated sessions and experiences for young people, while the whole event remains something the entire family can share together.
It will be three days of prayer, celebration, teaching, music, and fellowship. It is about recognising that Jesus is real, that our faith is alive, and that we are called to share this Good News with others. It is about allowing the Holy Spirit to ignite our hearts and renew our spirit.
In the video, I am joined by Kym Keady, Director of the Ignite Conference, who shares in this vision and invitation.

I warmly encourage you to consider attending. I truly believe you will not regret it.
God bless you all.
