Lets make this good lent

“’ ” –
We’re already partway through Lent, and Bishop Charles Gauci has a gentle reminder for all our young people: it’s not too late to stop, reflect, and make meaningful choices.
“This is the time of Lent,” he says, “40 days of stopping to look at how we are treating God… whether we speak with God to deepen our friendship with God.”
Even if you didn’t start perfectly, there’s still time to grow. Bishop Charles invites kids to think about:
Talking to God – Are you spending a little time with Him each day?
Caring for yourself – Are there habits you could work on?
Treating others kindly – “Do I need to forgive someone? Do I need to be more caring to someone?”
Respecting creation – “How do I treat God’s beautiful creation? Do I look after this planet?”
He also reminds us that small sacrifices make a big difference:
“Instead of buying an ice cream or a soft drink, we put the money in our Project Compassion boxes… to help people who haven’t got as much as we have.”
As Lent continues, Bishop Charles encourages young hearts to keep choosing what’s right and good — not just what’s easy.
Let’s finish this season strong, with kindness, reflection, and love.
God bless you all!
