Melville Island, part of the Tiwi Islands and Australia’s second-largest island, is home to a vibrant Catholic community. For years, the people have been asking for a resident priest to guide and support their faith journey. Now, we have the opportunity to make this a reality.
The key to welcoming a resident priest is refurbishing the presbytery on Melville Island, but this project comes with a $200,000 price tag. With the Diocese of Darwin already managing numerous remote churches and presbyteries, we need your help to make it happen.
