National Sorry Day
Today we mark National Sorry Day, also known as the National Day of Healing, as we remember the pain and lasting impact of the Stolen Generations.
While this is commemorated annually, for many people the wounds and effects continue every day, affecting individuals, families, culture, identity, and spirituality across generations.
We acknowledge with gratitude the public apology made on behalf of our nation and recognise that the journey of healing continues. With the grace of God, may we continue to walk together with mutual respect, compassion, and love, helping one another to be true to who we are and to the richness of our cultures and stories.
May we continue moving forward in healing, reconciliation, and hope.
