On , our Diocese will join the worldwide #RedWednesday movement to honour over 200 million Christians persecuted for their faith. Join us at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Cathedral for a : , followed by the Rosary, as we pray for those who endure unimaginable hardships.
A new report by Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) highlights the worsening persecution against Christians worldwide. From Africa to Asia to Latin America, Christians face increased violence, discrimination, and human rights abuses, with attacks forcing entire communities to flee. In countries like Pakistan, India, and Nigeria, religious extremism and restrictive laws are threatening the lives and freedoms of millions of Christians, while state oppression also rises in countries like China and Eritrea.
Whether by attending Mass, praying the Rosary, or wearing a religious symbol, let us remember those who cannot freely express their faith. Stand with us and pray for faith and freedom.
