Today is the feast of Edmund Ignatius Rice. The Christian Brothers were founded by Edmund Rice in Ireland to reach out to children who were not being able to be educated, poor children.
In our diocese, the Christian Brothers, are ministering in the Wadeye Parish. They are also ministering in Darwin.
The EREA (Edmund Rice Education Australia) runs Saint Joseph’s Flexi Centre in Alice Springs.
We are grateful for the charism of Edmund Rice and the ministry that is present in our diocese.
Thanks be to God for them.
