Today, we celebrate the feast of Saint Magdalene of Canossa, the foundress of the Canossian Daughters of Charity—Servants of the Poor (Canossian Sisters). We give thanks for the work of this congregation over so many years in our diocese, both here in Darwin, the Tiwi Islands, and other parts of our diocese.
We are immensely grateful for the selfless dedication of these women in the service of God and our people.
