Today, we celebrated the installation of Fr. Niran Viegas SVD as parish priest in Our Lady of Peace and St. Therese – Wurrumiyanga, Tiwi Islands.
We paid tribute to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart – Australia priests and brothers who served here for so many years.
We honoured the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart sisters still with us, in the presence of Sr. Anne Gardiner.
We acknowledged the Canossians Australia sisters serving in our community.
A word of gratitude to the Divine Word Missionaries – Australia Province congregation for their commitment to the Tiwi Island community.
A great celebration of faith.
