St Mary McKillop whose feast was celebrated on the 8th of August said that when she prayed, she always prayed so that she can let God use her prayers for whatever He wanted.
She trusted God fully knowing that God wants the best for all of us.
God knows us totally and intimately. God knows what is best for us even more than we do.
Paul the Apostle compares the Church to a body that has many parts but is the one body.
Some are called to the ordained Ministry, others to Marriage, others to consecrated religious life, others to serve in the singles state and more…
I encourage all of us to have that openness to God’s will for us and to be ready to say a wholehearted yes and we will never regret it.
Even if we are already in a committed state we always need to continue growing.
If you are discerning where God is calling you, take the risk and plunge of generous and unselfish love!
