Today, we celebrate the feast of Saint John Bosco (Don Bosco), the founder of the Salesian Order (SDB – Salesians of Don Bosco). He named his order in honour of Saint Francis de Sales, whom he greatly admired.
We thank God for the presence of the Salesian community serving the Palmerston community. Father Michael Court SDB is the parish priest, and Father Abilio Guterres SDB serves alongside him as co-pastor. They are awaiting the arrival of another clergy member. Together, they will minister at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Palmerston.
We are grateful to God for the return of the Salesian Congregation to our community after several years of absence.
God bless,
+Charles
